downtown bellevue

i drove over to a small restaurant called pogacha after work today. i had a three-course dinner meal for $20, but the only thing really worth eating here is the pogacha bread. it is fantastic, especially with the artichoke dip appetizer.

the restaurant is located in downtown bellevue, and downtown park was about a five minute walk away so i decided to walk over there after dinner. bellevue, and i assume most of seattle, has some really interesting scenery. there are trees everywhere, and it looks like skyscrapers and buildings just spring up out of the ground in similar fashion. the city and its surrounding greenery don't clash but sort of blend together to provide a really natural but modern ecology. it's cool. i took a few shots and sampled them here:

i found some folks outside waiting for the bus:

a friend of mine asked me to join him in participating in a photo challenge he came up with. we decided the challenge would be to take a photo every day for 365 days, creating a photo journal of sorts to broaden our perspectives and improve our skill. so here it is, day 1:

*i will upload my photo challenge photos here in case you want to see them in a set.
