pike place market is a modern-day bazaar in the middle of downtown seattle. there are shops, restaurants, stands, and dozens of artisans who set up shop wherever there's space. i didn't expect there to be so many gypsies, hippies, hobos, and hipsters. i found a lady who handcrafted ocarinas, and she even has a "legend of zelda" model that actually plays songs from the game!
i don't normally eat breakfast/brunch, but i didn't want to pass up an opportunity to eat at one of the restaurants at pike place market. i walked around looking for something that i thought i might enjoy and found this place:
the clam chowder here is dang good. i hope i come back. it was amazing.
next stop:
there's an exhibit next to the space needle called the chihuly garden and glass. it's super colorful-almost like walking into a real life wonka factory, without the edible candy everywhere.
it was a good morning. seattle is a really cool place with beautiful scenery. it was fun walking around the market and around downtown. if you want to see more of my photos, click here.
