i really thought mark driscoll was going to preach live, but even at the bellevue campus all we got was a video recording. still, the sermon was great. they went with a three-man band for worship, and they were rocking out. cool stuff. i even picked up a "mars hill music worship sampler" cd for like four bucks to give it another listen.
i didn't want to go back to the hotel after service, so i just drove around without using my gps. needless to say, i got lost fairly quickly. but it was a good "lost." i ended up in a place not too far called kirkland and ate at a qdoba for lunch. i asked the workers there where i was and what i could do while i was in the area. i found out that within walking distance was the waterfront, but i'm not sure which body of water i was looking at. it's all a part of lake washington, so whatever. the weather today is gorgeous and the pictures i took don't compare at all to what i was looking at. i sat down on one of the benches and just relaxed for a few minutes. it was so peaceful and beautiful.
