first day + pomegranate bistro and bar

first days and first weeks are usually the slowest. it always takes a while to get set up (login credentials, laptop rentals, badges, etc.). i had plenty of time today to get my desk and laptop up to speed and to catch up on reviewing concept documents.

i have to say, i've never felt so overwhelmed with support and care from friends. so many people have messaged me through facebook or through text messages, and i want to say that it is very much appreciated and i am grateful for your thoughts and well-wishes.

a lot of people are asking how the weather is here, and let me tell you: it is gloomy. it rains on and off, but the skies are cloudy pretty much the whole day. it makes it hard to go outside and explore, but i'm going to try and go out to a different place every day after work for dinner. today, i tried a place called pomegranate bistro and bar. it was a little pricey, but the atmosphere is clean and simple and the food is excellent. i ordered a marinated tenderloin (medium rare) and it was really tender.

it's almost 7 here, so i'm going to catch up on some reading and then watch some adventure time. if you've got any suggestions or anything for me to try here in seattle, message me and let me know.
